About This Item

London, UK: Routledge and Kegan Paul for the Historical Association, 1958. Soft cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 28pp stapled booklet in light card covers. 8vo. Covers very slightly rubbed at edges and toned, especially over spine, small paper scar on front where, likely, a price label has been removed. A few mild, flat creases, else neat and clean. An examination of the place of mercantilism in the economic history of the West from the time of Adam Smith onwards; commences with an analysis of the changing meaning of the world, and how others have interpreted it, transforming understanding of the mercantiles into a positive nuisance and confusion with autarky, nationalism and protectionism. We have many insightful and fascinating historical pamphlets, essays, local history booklets covering many areas, periods and themes, in stock. Please inquire for generous discounts if considering ordering more than one at time.
