Second Edition published one month after the first edition. The memories of Francis Galton, a prominent Victorian polymath and half-cousin to Charles Darwin. He was known for his initiation of scientific meteorology and his advancements within forensic science. He was also a proponent of eugenics. Includes eight illustrations and forty pages of publishers adverts to the rear. Collated, complete. In the original Publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Rear hinge is starting but firm. Front end paper has been removed. Booksellers label to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few spots to the first and last few pages. Plate facing page 59 detached but present. Final leaf of the adverts detaching. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
