A rare two volume first edition set on the Irish Rebellion from Holts own manuscript, very handsomely rebound in dark blue leather raised bands with gilt ruling on spine with title, author and date at base all in gilt with gilt Irish harps in the compartments. Blue marbled boards leather corners , new end papers some pages a trifle marked foxed & slightly yellowed otherwise very good, rough cut edges, An engraved frontis of Holt, Holt was General of the Irish rebellion army in the 1798 uprising there is a contemporary ink signature on the top of the title page vol 1 & again on the half title page vol 2 this vol has a facsmile of Holts hand writing as the frontis. Vol 1267pp. vol 2 432pp. A very fine & rare set.. First Edition. Quarter Leather. Very Good. Illus. by Frontice of Holt.. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall.
