Orig. pub. 1975 as "Memoirs of a Cape Breton Doctor"; PaperJacks pb edition 1977; edges worn, spine rubbed, pages tanned around edges, PO's name on inside f. cover, otherwise clean and tight copy. Overall VG-. Foreword by Senator The Hon. Henry D. Hicks. Dr. McMillan began his practice as a country doctor in 1928, serving the area around Baddeck, Cape Breton Island, and in his memoir he includes reminiscences of his older patients. Dr. McMillan was elected MLA in 1949. Medical school can't have prepared him for "Horses for Work, Fun and Profit" or "Sundays, Celebrities and Rum-Running", but he served his patients well for some 50 years and lived to tell the tale. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
