A5 box: English Centre, 1900. Paperback. Used: Acceptable. Condition good. ref ZKVQ First Page: Hello there; I'm Charmaine Weekes and I live in Paddington, London. The name of my street is Mortimer Road. It is a very long road with houses on both sides. It's not bad really and nearly everybody knows each other. The street consists of mainly all blacks except for a few whites and most of the blacks come from Jamaica. I am going to put you in the picture of what goes on in and around our community. The number of my door is fifty-six, and it's quite a decent house all the houses along here are, really. There are four of us in our family, my mum, dad, bigger brother and myself. We all get on fairly well, although my brother and myself do have a few fights, which is only natural. All of us are Jams and we came to live in Paddington a few years ago. My mother works in the High Street hairdressers, my father works as a painter and decorator, my brother goes to college, studying engineering. He is nineteen. I go to Park Manor Secondary School; this is a mixed school and it is really great. I am in the fifth year and sweet sixteen is my age....
