About This Item
New York: Doubleday, 1989. First Edition Assumed . Hard Back. Near Fine/Near Fine. 6" x 9. 346 Pages. Book appears to have never been opened. Dust jacket price 17.95 is unclipped and there is some very minor edge wear. Award-winning author Donald Jack returns with the seventh and final book in his wildly funny Bandy Papers series. Me So Far continues the well-established tradition of humor and adventure as Bartholomew Bandy pursues his mad destiny in India. It's 1925 and Bandy is working for the Maharajah of Jhamjarh, trying to set up and operate a new air force while sidestepping the short-sighted protests of the British government in India. The new air force certainly comes in handy when the nefarious neighboring state of Khaliwar decides to attack. But they haven't counted on Jhamjarh's secret weapon - the unorthodox methods and outrageous behavior of Bartholomew Bandy. Despite these distractions, the mystical visions of India have their effect on Bandy, leaving him a changed man. The underlying element of anger which has always been a part of his humor is finally resolved - which makes for a very satisfactory ending to the story of Bartholomew Bandy.
