First Edition decorated American trade binding (signed binding - monogram "K" on cover design). Clean olive green cloth boards with white decoration (scene of caped man on horseback galloping past a windmill). Crisp white lettering on cove and spine. Light bumping to corners; no fraying or wear. Binding is tight and square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean and bright, with small previous owner bookplate in upper corner of front pastedown. Six full page illustrations by Troy and Margaret Kinney. 219 pages..
