About This Item

New York, NY: Friendship Press, 1958 Friendship Press, New York. 1958. Softcover/Trade Wraps. First Edition (NAP). Book is tight, square, but does have a F/O name on the half title page and small pencil ticks under some words in the last 1/3rd of the book for emphasis in reading. Book Condition: Good +; light wear to head and tail; light soiling to wraps. No DJ. Pictorial card stock wraps. Wraps are not bent or folded; spine is not creased or split; text is secure in binding. 122 pp 8vo. Based on her experiences as the director of a missionary kindergarten in Mexico, the author has created the story of Mateo. The book is designed to let American schoolchildren learn about the people and culture of Mexico and it might differ, or be much like Mateo's life. The book also exposes the reader to reading and learning a good number of basic Spanish words. A clean very presentable copy.
