Presumed first edition, though no edition cited. Blue and grey boards with image of bi-plane in flight to front cover and spine. Slight soiling to boards. Colour frontispiece of Handley-Page bombers during World War One. An entertaining history of aviation for young people from hot-air balloons up to early passenger airliners. 24 half-tone plates including a charming aerial view of London airport as it was 90 years ago.
