Alfred A. Knopf, Inc. , 1970. 2 Volume set of THE classic of French cooking with slipcase.
Vol 1 is dated 1971 on title page. Verso states: "21st printing reprinted from new plates, Oct. 1971" It is bound in white with red fleur-de-lis patternand is in excellent condition. Text block has several tiny stains onthe front edge. Inside pages are clean and free from stains or notations. Dust jacket is in fair to poor condition with fraying at corners and numerous significant rips a the top and bottom of the spine. The price is not clipped. Please see photos.
Vol. 2 is 3d printing, published in 1970 - no edition statement. Bound in white with blue fluer-de-lis pattern. Text is in fine condition with no stains or notations. biding is excellent with no fraying, staining or edgewear. The DJ is frayed at corners and has a large rip at the top of the spine and at the center of the spine - see photos. Price is not clipped.
Slip case is a dark blue and has wear along the bottom and several small nicks and scratches here and there. There is a split along the top back edge of 4 in. but it is not very noticeable.
This set is heavy andwill require additional postage. Byer will be apprise of the cost in advance.
