Octavo (20.5 cm); vi, 372pp. Full color frontispiece with tissue protector intact. Boards bound in lilac cloth with gilt and purple stamping on decorative front cover and spine. Top edge gilt, fore edge deckled. Covers and spine slightly soiled, corners and head and tail of spine bumped. After the second flyleaf the binding is exposed, but still structurally sound. Pages clean throughout.
Text interestingly printed with rubrication in black and scene markers in red in the blocked off margin. One of Myrtle Reed's last four novels with original lavender binding done by Margaret Armstrong.
