London: Grant Richards, 1903. 1st Edition. Red Boards. Very Good Minus/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Illustrated. 285pp. A very good copy form the Hunting Library, being the third volume in the series. Bound in red boards with black embossed vignette to the front board and gilt embssed lettering to the spine. Illustrated with 14 b/w photographic plates as called for, including a frontispeice plate with tissue guard. There is some fading to the spine with a few light stains to the strip. There are bumps to the head and tail of the spine with a slight split to the tail of the spine and slight nik to the head of the spine. Previous owners bookplate to the front paste down with a little ghosting to the opposing front end paper. There are a few foxspots to the front fore edges and a few pages have been forced open with some loss to the page margins. No loss of text. There are a few pencil marks in the margins of a few pages. The book is otherwise clean and tight. A very good copy.
