London: Jonathan Cape, 1982. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. pp: [48]. LIMITED EDITION. First hard cover edition, bound in dark blue cloth covered boards with colour panel laid down, and the title and author name stamped in gilt surrounding the illustration. Originally published in paperback in 1979. The book is protected with a glassine wrapper. This is one of a limited issue of 1,000 copies. This copy is not numbered. Each picture in the book "...is like a big fat novel: there are plots and sub-plots and things going on that aren't even hinted at in the text..." (author's introduction). And that is the facsination with the work of Kit Williams. A near fine to fine copy.
