London: James Hagger, 1850. First edition. Hardcover. Three quarter black calf and black cloth. Very good. (vi), viii, 266 pages. 11.2 x 9 inches. 146 wood engraved plates with 35 printed in colors. Essentially a practical guide to the trade of the period with suggestions for improving the work of masonry, foundations, domes, bridges, windows. Also provides designs for cemetery monuments, tomb and head stones. Raised bands, spine gilt lettered and interior generally clean, nicks to backstrip foot.
