Original 35 page complete final shooting script dated March 18, 1981 for an episode of the award winning television series MASH titled ‘Identity Crisis’ which aired on November 2, 1981 (Season 10, Episode 2). Bradbound in printed studio covers. Fine fresh copy. This script belonged to an assistant director for the show. The episode was written by Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford, directed by David Ogden Stiers, and starred Alan Alda as Capt. Benjamin Franklin ‘Hawkeye’ Pierce, Mike Farrell as Capt. B.J. Hunnicutt, Harry Morgan as Col. Potter, Loretta Swit as Maj. Margaret ‘Hotlips’ Houlihan, with David Ogden Stiers, Jamie Farr, William Christopher, and Joe Pantoliano. In this episode, Father Mulcahy counsels a guilt-ridden GI (Pantoliano) who swapped tags with a dead colleague in order to be able to go home. The television series MASH was developed by Larry Gelbart, adapted from the 1970 film directed by Robert Altman, starring Elliott Gould, Donald Sutherland, Tom Skerritt, Sally Kellerman, Robert Duvall, and Gary Burghoff and received 5 Oscar nominations. The series ran from 1972 - 1983 and is one of the highest rated shows in U.S. television history, winning numerous Emmys and Golden Globes. Both the film and the series were based on the 1968 novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors by Richard Hooker.
