New York: Grosset & Dunlap. Very Good- in Good dust jacket. 1927. Later Printing. Hardcover. 211 + ads p. 19.5 cm. Copyright date only. 1940's printing. Sound and square binding in red, cloth-covered boards with portrait on upper board. Moisture staining to bottom edge of lower board. Minor wear to the spine ends and corners. Front and bottom text block edges are slightly foxed. Top edge a little soiled. Inscription to previous owner on back side of the frontispiece. Name has been blackened out. Otherwise, the inside pages are generally clean and bright, with a couple of tiny marks and slight toning to the edges. Dustjacket has wear to the spine ends, corners, folds and edges, including several tiny edge tears and chips. Moisture stain to bottom edge of rear panel. The spine ends and one tear have been stabilized on reverse side with acid free document tape. Both boards and spine have some soil. Not price clipped - 50 cents. The twelfth title in the series about Mary Jane Merrill and her adventures. Illustrated with a black and white frontispiece and three pen and ink drawings. .
