Folio Society. Hardback. Novel. Introduced by Jenny Uglow. Illustrated by Alexy Pendle. Colour frontis. xviii, 391pp. Bound in green cloth printed in beige with a design by Frances Burton. In green slipcase. Margin of frontis has a crumpled area including a small tear; illustration is not affected. The first few pages of the introduction are lightly creased across one corner. The book is otherwise very clean, bright and neat. The slipcase has a scattering of faint white marks to one face but is otherwise clean and sound. Good+ copy in like slipcase . Hardback. 2004.
