About This Item
New York: Frederick Ungar Publishing Co., 1961. Book. Good. Trade Paperback. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. FIRST EDITION TRADE PAPERBACK. 1961. --'MARX'S CONCEPT OF MAN'-- by ERICH FROMM. Signed, Inscribed by Author on front page-- 'To Robert Hagopian with best wishes, E. Fromm'. Includes translations of original and philosophical manuscripts of Karl Marx. Erich Fromm's analysis of Karl Marx's concepts of human nature and how Marx's psychological ideas informed his economic and political theories. Marx did not believe 'man' had only a physical nature (that at birth 'man' is a blank sheet upon which culture writes its script) but believed 'man' to be a recognizable and ascertainable entity-- who could be defined as 'man' through many perspectives-- biology, anatomy, physiology and psychology. Nice condition- interior is clean, unmarked. Edge wear & light scuffing. Spine shows some soft creasing, but binding is good and secure..
