Third edition, issued as part of the ""Neely's Tourist Library"" series. Octavo (7.5 x 5.125 inches; 190 x 130 mm.). 212. [2, ads] pages. Publisher's side-stapled binding in the original wrappers, printed in red and black with a portrait of Mark Twain on the front cover and an ad for McPhail Pianos on the rear. Spine slightly skewed; wrappers soiled, creased and somewhat worn, with a couple minor bruises and some light dampstaining. Text block brown and brittle, some tears in the gutter margin; title leaf nearly detached; edges worn. Good. Initially published in 1892 by The Clemens Publishing Company in San Francisco.
