The binding is rubbed & scuffed. xix, [i], 606 & [1] pages. Illustrated with tables. There is occasional foxing with a crease & short tear to the front endpaper. The atlas is lacking. Good. <p>The text only, lacking the atlas.<p>Second edition.<p>Camille Adalbert Marie, Baron Clement de La Ronciere-Le Noury [1813-1881] was an officer of the French Navy who notably distinguished himself in 1870 during the siege of Paris. The Baron writes in his foreword that his book does not attempt to be a history of the Siege of Paris, but only of those events in which the navy was involved.
