About This Item

Washington, DC: Marine Corps Association. Good. 1945. First Edition. Softcover. 72 pp., illus., maps, articles include "VJ Statement by General Vandegrift", "Prelude at Shimonoseki", by Sgt Eugene Cook, "6thMarDiv in Southern Okinawa", by 1st Lt Alan I. Shilin. Contents are very good, but covers are roughly two-thirds detached from the magazine. The front is separated from the back cover from the bottom up about two-thirds of the way to the top but the top staple is still holding the covers on. Front cover is dirty, darkened along much of the spine but most of the cover is bright, as it obviously has been stored under another book or magazine for years leaving the area along spine open to the elements. Now protected in a clear bag with backer .
