London: The Holland Press, 1978. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good. 9" by 6". None. A very neat edition of this educational work discussing to creation and development of a marine timekeeper. Reprinted edition. First published in 1923. Illustrated throughout. A detailed study on the development of the chronometer, a portable timekeeping device of great accuracy. This device is predominantly used for determining longitude while at sea. Written by Lieutenant-Commander Rupert Thomas Gould, a member of the British Royal Navy noted for his contributions to horology. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, excellent with minor bumping to the extremities. Unclipped dust wrapper also very smart with light shelf wear and a couple of small closed tears. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
