Description:
London: Harrap, 1934. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (London: George G Harrap & Company Ltd 1934). First UK Edition. Publisher's orange cloth boards with decorations and titles in dark green to front board and spine. A patch of fading at the head and tail of the spine (matching chips in the D/W), offsetting to both sets of end-papers and light foxing to the fore-edge and the early/late pages of the book. Overall a VG copy with beautifully clean boards. In the rare VG D/W priced 2/6 net to the inside flap (as called for). The D/W is lightly browned to the spine, foxed in places to the back panel with shallow chipping at the head of the spine and deeper chipping at the base removing the publisher's name completely. Prettily illustrated throughout with coloured frontispiece and illustrations by the Author. Very scarce as a first edition. Photographs/scans available upon request.
