DJ: Good; NOT Price Clipped ($2.00); suntanned spine and flap folds; moisture stain to tail; wear to head, tail, and tips; missing small pieces at lower front flap fold and top of front panel. Green cloth boards and spine with brown lettering on the spine and front board. Clean interior. Interior hinges are sound and not split. 200 pp 12mo. Title on jacket states A Drama not A Play. Spine tail is stamped Vanguard, DJ states published by the author. This is Marie Antoinette as produced by Sinclair where it was reviewed "You've certainly kept your propaganda (socialism) out of this performance." This is the story of three human creatures caught in a whirlwind of social change which from their positions they could not understand it at all. There is the love story of Marie Antoinette, her lover, the Swedish noble, Count Fersen, and her uncaring husband, King Louis XVI. This play covers the failing monarchy, the loveless marriage, and Marie's doomed and unhappy life in the royal household. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
