Davenport Hotel, Spokane, WA: [np], 1926. Second edition of 2000 copies. One sided large atlas folio (28 in), black printing on white stock, signed and numbered (1293 of 2000) by Lindsey. Near Fine, some toning, folded into sixths, light closed tears at innermost fold intersections, overall clean and highly presentable.. Illustrated by the author.. Large illustrated "Map of the Universe" by Lindsay, which first appeared in "Tramps Excuse" in 1909, and had been paired in miniature with a number of his publications since (here noted as the frontispiece of the Collected Illustrated Poems from MacMillan). Reverse side shows his illustrated poem "Queen of Bubbles", the recto half of which first appeared in 1904 and is here produced in full for the first time. Below is a detailed walk-through of the Map of the Universe, with bibliographic information and further sources for the work. At very bottom is an edition statement, "SECOND EDITION OF THIS POSTER--TWO THOUSAND COPIES--DAVENPORT HOTEL, SPOKANGE, ROOM 1129. VACHEL LINDSAY, FEBRUARY TWENTY-EIGTH, NINETEEN TWENTY-SIX. SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THE AUTHOR, THIS IS NUMBER (1293 / Vachel Lindsay), inscription in flowing black fountain ink.
