About This Item

Toronto: Ryerson, 1938. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Frank Butler. Hardcover in red cloth with titling to spine and front cover. Copyright 1936. This copy published by Little, Brown and Company in 1938 bears an ink stamp that indicates "The Ryerson Press" for its Canadian distribution. B&W illustrations. Intended for a school market with sections on "Pupil Activities" and "General Projects." Library markings: numbered in bold marker on the spine; card pocket affixed to inside rear cover. Worn and grubby, a few scattered marks, but square and still firmly bound. Contents page with small corner piece missing, but no text effected. Back hinge beginning to split. Despite flaws, this survivor from a public school retains its charm.

About Pulp & Circumstance

Welcome to Pulp & Circumstance on Biblio. Once a brick and mortar bookseller, I am pleased that I can now offer scarce and/or collectible books and other items via this platform.

P&C strives to ensure that all items are clean and fairly described. Packages will be wrapped with care and dispatched as soon as feasible, usually on the next business day.

We do not use stock photos. All our photos are of the actual item offered for sale. We try to include the publishers' own descriptions of content by including photos of dust jacket flaps and back covers so far as they seem useful, and we also use photos to show material flaws where we can.

The "Pulp & Circumstance" watermark you might notice in some of our photos does not, of course, appear on any of the items themselves.

Please note that the colour in our photos often fails to come out right. The hue shifts a bit due to the limitations of our equipment, the lighting in our workshop, and of course my own lack of photographic expertise.

Shipping costs per book are always cheaper when more than one book is sent in the same package. Read more about shipping charges in "Terms of Sale" below.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have by email. We will usually respond within 24 hours. Happy browsing!
