Quarto, [46], [1] (colophon) pages plus 12 colour plates (one folding). Half cloth and papered boards; spine lightly sunned; an excellent copy in the slipcase (a little scuffed, with two stains to the rear panel). Number 1762 of 2500 copies thus (there were also 300 copies of a leather-bound deluxe edition). Loosely inserted is the publisher's 10-page booklet by Colonel Harold Wellington Jones, 'Charles Bell and the Origin of his Engravings of the Arteries' (slightly creased along the top edge). [2 items].
