The fifth and the best edition. The first edition of Jacques-Charles Brunet's Manual was published in 1810. "The three-volume work expanded to its fifth edition, comprising six volumes (1860-1865), still in use today; three supplementary volumes by Pierre Deschamps and Gustave Brunet were published from 1870 to 1880.
