Hardcover. 12mo; Fair-/no DJ; Hardcover w/out DJ, rebound; Spine black with gold print; Boards in black cloth, slight wear to spine caps, slight shelfwear; Text block has tanning to endpapers, intermittent spine breaks, age-toning to paper, some foxing, a check against The Society of Iconophiles "Index" (1906) showed that all of the numerous illustrations, some on folded plates, (maps, chromolithographs, engravings, facsimiles, etc.) are present except the frontispiece map, portion of folded illustration at page 426 is present but separated from remainder, pages 585-600 are water stained; Spine title: Manual of the Common Council, City of New York, 1856; xi, 630 pages, illustrated (some color). 1317628.
