Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Apollo, 1983. The unique resource for Art Historians and collectors, includes biographical information on 11,000 artists, sculptors, painters, engravers. Includes the separate twelve page 'Addendum' of 52 additional biographies that were not included as the book went to press. 1,039 pages, 6-1/4" X 9-1/4". Sturdy brick red cloth covered boards, with the title in silver on the spine and front board. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Sun fading to the spine panel and portions of the front panel of the dust jacket, one small closed tear at the top front edge of the jacket, about 1/4" long. Some tanning dots to the top edge of the text block, and a small horizontal bump mark to the top edge of the text bock, about 1-1/2" inch long. Not a library copy. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
