About This Item
One part of Besant's remarkable life was as an author on the themes of Theosophy and Spiritualism. In this work she looks at how life continues after the death of the physical body. This is a nice copy of the first edition, published in India where she of course lived for many years. Pages are good, bright and clean. Tanning on endpapers and a little foxing here and there, mostly at the start of the book. First page of chapter one has a couple of small marks on the page (see photos) but otherwise no marking or inscriptions. Binding is tight, with a little feeling of loosened but no apparent actual issues. Boards are good, just the normal age wear and a little shelf wear by exception. Spine has a little give but no real impact seen. See photos, all of which are of the copy for sale, we don't use stock photos. More photos on request, thanks!
