Large format hardcover, quarto bound in tan cloth and publisher's non price-clipped dust-jacket. 256 pages. Signed by author/photographer on end-paper. Profusely illustrated with black and white photographs. First edition. A collection of over 50 prose descriptions from the pens of famous authors, from Dickens to E.B. White, highlighting the bridges, harbor, skyline, parks, etc. of New York City's shoreline. These prose depictions are illumed by numerous photographs taken by the author, most dating from 1972 - 1975. Printed byThe Rapoport Printing Corp., the premier printer of black and white photography books, located in lower Manhattan. Small private gift inscription on half-title page, dated 1976. Book is clean, tight, square and otherwise unmarked. Dust-jacket shows edge wear, mainly consisting of toning/foxing to upper and fore-edges A near fine signed copy in a good dust-jacket. Priority and International order will require additional postage, calculated as close to actual cost as possible. .
