Exceptional illustrations of primates by author Eladio da Cruz Lima, Brazilian painter, writer and archeologist (1900 -1943) Authored Mamíferos da Amazônia - Introdução Geral e Primatas (Mammals of Amazonia) in 1945 that gave him international recognition. This book displays a new primate subspecies known as Saguinus fuscicollis cruzlimai. Authored other works as Arte pré-histórica na Amazônia (Pre-historic art in Amazon) and A cerâmica no Estado do Pará (Ceramics in Pará State) He was honored in 1937 by having a new subspecies, Eladinea Miranda-Ribeiro (Amphibia) named for him..Text is clean, tight, unmarked save for previous owner's (James M.
