About This Item
Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1927. Hardcover. Near Fine. One of the most important memoirs of the World War I era . This copy is inscribed by Anton Sidlo , President of the Czechoslovak Republic , to Frank G. Hajicek of the , " Chicago post of the United Czeckoslovak Legionaries of America " . The inscription is touching to " my comrade in the days of the great war in which he struggled with me for democracy . " and it rightly describes Masaryk as " a good man , a wise philosopher , a great statesman and president . ".This is an excellent copy of the book in a somewhat worn dust jacket . The dust jacket is now protected in a mylat cover .
