Originally a teacher, he has devoted himself to literature since 1943. Pastoral scenes of his Homeland, philosophical meditations, opposition to war, and love are Carême's favorite themes. He also writes poetry and tales for children, fables, and parables and translates poetry. 8vo., printed white wraps;146 pages. Very Good (tiny tear bottom of front covers that has a small interior repair with clear, archival tape; few rear pages with minor damage from cutting the sheets; contents clean & tight).
