First American edition stated on copyright page. Black cloth covers with blue on spine. Previous owner name on fly leaf. Large stain on rear flyleaf. Large stain at top of pages 1-17. Random small stains throughout. Dust jacket intact but much wear, and creases on front and along spine with 1/4 inch tear at top. All jacket corners worn. Rear cover lower edge creased and small 1/8 tear.
