Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Harcourt, 1970. Originally published as 'Maigret Hesite'in 1968. This is a 1970 Book Club edition. English translation by Lyn Moir. In this mystery, Maigret receives a letter detailing the crime before it happens, who will be murdered? Maigret has to find out. 182 pages, 5-5/8" x 8". The dust jacket is intact and has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Light wear to the jacket. Edges of the text block are relatively clean, with just a few dots of age tanning to the bottom edge. Bright red top-stain does not appear to be faded. This is not a library discard copy. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
