About This Item
1955 Chronicles of NARNIA 1st/1st C.S. LEWIS The Magician's Nephew Fantasy + DJ
"The Magician's Nephew" written by C.S. Lewis and illustrated by Pauline Baynes, is the origin story of the fantastical world of Narnia. Published in 1955 as the sixth installment in "The Chronicles of Narnia" series, it is the first chronologically, revealing how Narnia came to be. The tale starts in England with two children who stumble upon a peculiar method of traveling between different worlds. Their adventures lead them to witness the majestic creation of Narnia by the powerful lion, Aslan. This act of creation draws on elements from our own world, like a seemingly out-of-place lamp-post. The narrative also sheds light on how various elements, such as the enigmatic White Witch and a human monarchy, became integral to Narnia. Lewis intertwines profound themes like temptation, morality, and the consequences of one's actions in this enchanting precursor to the beloved series.
