First edition, good + hardcover shows rubbing at edges, light bumping to corners, mild chipping at spine tail and small closed tear at spine head, touch of soil at page edges and endpapers, three paper remnants from jacket where it was glued down at both front and rear pastedowns, paper remnants, store stamp, couple of ink date checkout stamps and previous owner name and date at front endpaper, along with bit of toning to pages, in fair dust jacket (no price at flap) that is missing majority of faded spine, along with bit of rubbing, soil and edgewear that includes closed tears and open chips that includes fored edges of jacket flaps. 244 pages. Solid copy of this first mystery from the creator of Chief Fred Fellows and author of "Last Seen Wearing....widely regarded as one of the masterpieces of mystery-suspence fiction.
