About This Item
Lexington: Buggy Whip Press, 1983. Hardcover. 4to. Red cloth with gilt lettering, pictorial dust jacket. 193pp. Frontispiece, numerous illustrations. Fine/very good. Slight jacket wear. A tight and handsome first edition of this biography of the colorful Kentucky child of a prostitute who continued the family tradition, becoming proprietor of one of the most well-known brothels in the south.
