Obolenskiy Sobornaya gramota dukhovenstva pravoslavnoy vostochnoy tserkvi, utverzhdayushchaya san tsarya za Velikim Knyazem Ioannom IV Vasil'evichem, 1561 goda Short description: In Russian (ask us if in doubt).M. Synodal Printing House, 1850. The Cathedral's Certificate was issued by Prince Mikhail Andreevich Obolensky. His introductory article to the publication addresses the issue of the appearance of tsarist regalia in the Russian Empire. Russian rulers began to be consistently named kings in internal and external documents after Metropolitan Makarius, on behalf of the entire Russian clergy, blessed Grand Duke John IV Vasilyevich to the Kingdom. The Kingdom Wedding took place on January 16, 1547, after which the Sovereign wished to receive the blessings of the Greek-Eastern Church as well. The clergy of the Orthodox Eastern Church confirmed their blessing to the Kingdom with a special letter produced in 1561 We have thousands of titles and often several copies of each title may be available.
