Paris: Simonem Colin,eum, 1543. A rare & early little book in latin, raised bands with now faded flowers in the compartments and title, bottom of front hinge starting but holding well gilt ruling to boards bumped corners with a small piece of leather missing on rear corner. On fep is long note signed by The MacDermot ( Prince of Connaught) . Lucanus was freinds with Nero but they possibly fell out , he took his own life by opening a vein & died quoting poetry. Full Brown Calf.. Very Good. 12 cm x .75cm .
