Cleveland: The World Publishing Company, 1947. Hardcover. 8vo. Brown pebble-grain paper over boards with tan lettering, pictorial dust jacket. 251pp. Very good/very good. Jacket mildly edgeworn; text block lightly age toned as usual; ownership signature on front flyleaf. A tight and attractive first "Tower Books Edition" reprint of the 1945 Simon & Schuster mystery, turned into Jack Benny's only feature film in 1949 with Brian Donlevy, Dorothy Lamour and Claire Trevor.
