Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning.

In fairly good quarter maroon leather and red, blue and yellow marbled boards; black leather title field to back strip with gilt titles. The covers are fairly clean; very loose at front, the top half being detached, spine leather fraying at sides, edge-worn. Marbled end papers as covers; attractive book plate on front paste down; the top edges have thin strips of paper stuck down. Marbled cut edges; the top edge is very dark. The text block is tightly bound, straight and in very good condition, with the pages quite clean. No markings etc. Rare.
