Hardcover. 24mo. 13.5cm, the First U.S. Edition, [iv].105pp., notes, inthe original quarter red roan backed marbled boards, gilt spine title &single panel rules, contemporary owner's annotation dated 1829 on frontfree fly, fine, rare. (ids). ~ A very scarce American edition publishedthe same year as the English first. The Baltimore publisher andcartographer, Fielding Lucas (1781-1854), was noted for publishing mapsand catholica. The book contains Moore's preface .".I found that myfriend Lord Byron had, by accidental coincidence, chosen the same subjectfor a drama .I thought it best to publish my humble sketchimmediately.
