New York: The United States Army. First Edition. Softcover. Good. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. Two perfectly serviceable reference copies; nothing fancy, but nearly complete and sturdy, folio newspaper/magazine format, folded horizontally. The Yank: the Army Weekly issue has paper loss to front cover and recto, next page and it's recto, some loss of text, but tape-repaired neatly. Many, many score black-and-white photographs and illustrations, and articles by Merle Miller, Ralph G. Martin, Lou Stouman, Mack Morriss, and many others. Articles about Puerto Rican soldiers, the fighting against the Japanese in Enewitok, Italy and elsewhere. The Tokyo Edition Yank features articles about U.S. soldiers held as P.O.W.s in Japanese strongholds. That issue is in Very good condition, still sharp and clear, and with black and red printing and images. and articles about underwater demolition teams, the finding of German stashes of French cognac, and others.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
