Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company, 1981. First Edition. Limited Edition Fine in maroon cloth covered boards with gilt text stamping on the spine. A small quarto measuring 9 1/4 by 6 inches. Issued without a dust jacket; however, the book is contained within a fine, paper covered slip case with a printed paper label on one side of the slip case. One of only 500 limited edition copies printed. This copy is identified as number 104 and is signed by the author on the limitation page. 259 pages of text with black and white and colored drawings by Raphael Soyer. The laid-in, signed and numbered plate by Soyer is missing from this copy.
