London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington, 1890. This biography of Benjamin Disraeli is a late work by the prominent British historian James Anthony Froude (1818-1894). This is a Very good copy of the First Edition, part of a series of "The Queen's Prime Ministers." Not common. Maroon cloth binding with titling in gilt on the spine and front cover; decorative gilt band at the top. Clean text; x, 268 pages, with a 32-page publisher's catalog in the rear (which remains unopened. Some spotting to the fore-edge. Mildly bumped; rubbed head and foot of spine, which has faded (gilt still bright). . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
