First hardcover edition, with dust jacket, published by Duell, Sloan & Pearce, 1961. Sloane follows the path of an air mass, from the Canadian Rockies , across the United States on to the Atlantic, following the lives of the people it affects along the way. Illustrated throughout by the author's own artwork. 76 pages, 7-1/8" X 9-1/8". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Jacket has some edge wear to the head and heel of the spine and back left corner, sun fading to the spine though all lettering is still legible, a couple of closed tears at the top edge of the back panel, some clear tape had been applied to the obverse side of the jacket. Sturdy light brown cloth covered boards, with the title imprinted on the spine in gold. Binding is tight and square. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or worn, no edge wear to the cover boards. This is not a library discard copy. The attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
