Cover and spine titles in gold worn. Previous owner's name in lovely script, which was apparently copied in light pencil above it. Stated purpose of this doctor's book is "To treat of one epoch only...advanced age...to show what is the precise nature of the changes which take place in that epoch...to enumerate the most common troubles...to point out the means ...for ameliorating or avoiding those troubles." - pp. 18-19. Wear to corners and head and foot of spine, but holding together well. 191 pp..
